January 2020 (SEOUL, KOREA) Bella Hristova performed the new work “Saturn Bells,” for violin and orchestra with conductor Kisun Sung and the Gangnam Symphony Orchestra last January, playing on the orchestra annual New Year’s concert. The Gangnam Symphony is an orchestra composed of top performers in Korea who come together once a month to play at the Seoul Arts Center and Gangnam Council Concert Hall. Maestro Sung is professor of conducting at the world-renowned Ewha Women’s University.
Saturn Bells was written for Hristova by her husband, composer David Ludwig on a commission from the Mobile Youth Orchestra on it’s 60th anniversary. The piece has been performed across the US and had its Asia premiere with this performance in Seoul.
